The coffee shop opened its doors for the first time in 1998 on Esplanaden in the little green house. We were the first in Denmark to offer coffee-to-go, which was totally unknown at that time.
The café is nicely decorated with lots of funny stuff on the shelves. The view over the Citadel (Kastellet) and Churchill park is beautiful. The coffee is the famous Ruds Double Roast. There is a good selection of cakes, buns and sandwiches.
Kafferiet is the perfect start to a visit to the little mermaid or a fresh stroll along Langelinie.
